Share an agent when other people should use it, or help you build it. Everyone you add gets a role. Sharing doesn’t change who owns the agent.
The three sharing roles as layers of an onion. Can use, in the middle, chats with the agent in their own chat, sees its files, reads its instructions, triggers and tools, and opens its app. Can edit wraps around it and also changes how the agent works, turns it on or off, and sees runs and everyone's chats. Can manage is the outer layer and also changes who has access, deletes the agent and moves it.The three sharing roles as layers of an onion. Each role includes everything in the layers inside it.

Roles

Who can get which role

What you can hand out depends on whether the agent is yours or a team’s. You’re the only person who can manage a personal agent. On a team agent, whoever created it gets Can manage, and the team’s admins always have Can manage. See Team spaces.

Share an agent with people or teams

You need Can manage to change who has access. With Can edit, you can see the list but not change it.
1

Open Share

On the agent, click Share. The Share tab lists everyone who has access. Always have access shows the people you can’t remove, such as the owner and the team’s admins.
2

Add people, teams, or everyone

Search in Add people, teams or everyone. You can pick people and teams from your organization, or Everyone in followed by your organization’s name.
3

Choose the role and add

Pick the role in the menu next to the search field. It starts on Can use. Click Add.
4

Send the link (optional)

Copy link copies a link to the agent. The link doesn’t grant access by itself, so add the person first.
To change someone’s role or remove them, use the menu next to their name in the same list.

What people with Can use get

People find agents shared with them under Agents, on the Shared with you tab.
  • Their own chat. Each person has one chat with the agent, and it continues where they left off. Only they and people with Can edit or Can manage see it.
  • A view of the setup. They can read the instructions, triggers, and tools, and see the agent’s files. They can’t change anything.
  • The app. If the agent has an app, they can open it.
If you turn the agent off, they can’t send new messages. If you remove their access, they can still read their earlier messages, but they can’t use the agent anymore.
People you share an agent with work through its integrations. The agent uses the accounts it’s connected with, not theirs. Before you share it, make sure everyone you add should be able to ask for what those accounts can see and do. If people should use their own accounts, share a template instead.

Edit someone else’s agent

With Can edit on an agent you don’t own, and outside the team that owns it, you work with the tools the agent already has. You can turn tools off, but you can’t add integrations or new tools. Ask the owner or a team member to add them.

Accounts other people added

When an agent uses someone’s Personal account, that person always keeps at least Can use on the agent. If you remove their access, the agent can’t keep their account, so its tools are turned off. The account owner can approve it again later.

Keep a team agent to a few people

By default, everyone in the team that owns an agent has Can edit. To limit that, open Share and change the owning team’s role to Can use or No access. Then add the people who should have more. With No access, team members still see the agent in the team, but they can’t open it. They can click Request access to the agent and say why. Everyone who can manage the agent gets an email and can approve it. You also see waiting requests under Access requests in the Share dialog. A request closes after 14 days if nobody decides.

Agents you can’t share

Agents deployed from a locked template can’t be shared. The template’s owner decides who has access.
